Shireburn launch in GulfShireburn Software premiered its airport solution, Concessionaire Analyzer+ (CA+) in the Gulf region last week, during the ACI Airport Exchange Conference held in Doha, Qatar from 11th till 13th November.

The ACI Airport Exchange Conference and Exhibition is a top event in the air transport industry calendar, attracting aviation executives from around the world. The event was hosted by Doha International Airport and considered the future development of airports through new ideas and solutions.

This was the 7th international event where Shireburn exhibited its airport solution this year, with four exhibitions held in Europe, one in Asia, one in the US and now the 7th in the Gulf region.

Shireburn’s CA+ solution enables airports to manage and improve their non-aviation revenues, which are today crucial for an airport’s profitability and sustainability. The team attracted high levels of interest from airports as well as other airport integrators and consultants, mainly due to the uniqueness of CA+ in targeting this topical area of non-aviation revenues.

Shireburn’s visit to the Gulf region also entailed various meetings held with international airports as well as opportunities to establish regional partnerships in order to be able to service clients and offer a localised support service.

Shireburn exhibits Payroll & HR solution at FHRD Conference

Shireburn releases SEPA compliant Payroll

SPS SepaShireburn Software has this week released the latest version of its Payroll Software that now enables all automated electronic payments within the system to be SEPA (Single European Payments Area) compliant. Following rigorous testing in collaboration with local banks, Shireburn was last week given the green light to release the update with the new SEPA compliant features.

SEPA is the European standard for electronic payments and the Shireburn Payroll System (SPS) is now able to effect payments to employees, both locally and internationally, using this format. Automated SEPA payments have just started being accepted by local banks and all electronic payments across the Euro area must conform to the SEPA format as from February 2014. This is also the format that is required for new bank customers processing payments electronically.

Obtaining recognition is an important reflection of Shireburn’s dedication to excellence and commitment to creating and delivering innovative customer solutions and services based on Microsoft technologies. The status was obtained as a result of all the required training, accreditation and certification achieved by the Shireburn team.

Blood Donations for our 30th Anniversary

Blood DriveAs part of our 30th anniversary and ongoing corporate social responsibility initiatives, a large number of Shireburn Software’s management and staff, visited the Blood Donation Unit in Guardamangia this morning, to donate blood.

The gesture is part of the company’s CSR plan with special regard for its 30th anniversary drive to give back to the community. The response from staff was encouraging and many of the employees were first-time donors. Managing Director John de Giorgio and Director Franco Galea thanked staff members for potentially saving lives today. They also showed gratitude for staff members who kept the office up and running in the interim so as not to disrupt client support.
