Software Applications

Shireburn’s core business is the development and support of software applications for business and the company enjoys a blue-chip client base around 40 countries and spanning 19 time zones. Established in 1983 and with its operational base in Malta, Shireburn currently consists of a team of 30+ professionals with a skill mix able to address a wide range of client needs. Our business model centres on the development of software applications aimed at a specific business market. The Shireburn Business Suite provide a core set of solutions around financial, inventory and payroll/HR management. By offering an integrated modular approach we address a wide spectrum of business needs from Point-of-Sale solutions for the retail environment, to inventory and order management for the manufacturing sector, and support for the services sector.

Shireburn’s Integra for Notes family of products is the world leader in the IBM Lotus Notes to Microsoft Office integration sector and enjoys a wide range of clients such as sectors of the US Military, Siemens, Philips, Behr Group, Gartner, Coca-Cola, Hertz, Volvo the US Environment Protection Agency etc.

Shireburn Freight System offers solutions for the freight industry encompass management of import and export information for container, trailer and air freight resulting in the generation of all port, carrier and client documentation, container and demurrage tracking, transhipment management as well as integration into the Shireburn Business Suite for invoicing and consignment cost management.

The Shireburn Business Tracker allows companies to centrally manage all the client and supplier contact details together with all incoming and outgoing correspondence, e-mails etc and to manage activities. This allows teams to collaborate to heights not usually achieved, boasting performance, effectiveness and productivity. Software Distribution

Shireburn is the official distributor for IBM Software in Malta and as an IBM Business Partner specialises in the Lotus Software brand, providing development, training and support as well as order fulfilment.

Shireburn’s e-Security practice involves the provision of solutions for anti-virus, anti-spam, endpoint security and Nework Access Control from Sophos plc.

Mail and web browsing content management and security from Trustwave Software also add to the Shireburn range of solutions for the corporate environment.

Business continuity and disaster recovery solutions from Double-Take enable companies to implement strategies to ensure the continuity of their businesses in case of disasters such as equipment theft, damage from storms, floods and fire.

Technical Services

Supporting the software development and distribution sides of Shireburn’s operations is the Technical Services division providing consultancy, installation, network design and management, technical audits, security management, training and support services and all the facilities to ensure the maximisation of up-time of your network infrastructure.
