Shireburn Software makes further progress in Airport market

18th June 2012
Shireburn Software's Concessionaire Analyzer+ (CA+), its software solution that allows airport revenue management to collect and analyse sales data from retail concessions enabling airports to influence retail sales and maximise retail revenue, has been gaining significant traction in the market. Following CA+ being presented at the Passenger Terminal Expo 2012 in Vienna in April followed by the ACI-Europe Trader's Conference in Oslo in the next week, Shireburn have commenced discussions with various airports ranging in size throughout the spectrum.

As non-aviation revenues continue to increase their contribution to airport revenues, reaching 48% in 2011 according to ACi-Europe, airports are increasingly focusing their attention on retail sales to contribute to increasing revenues. While boosting aviation sector revenues usually involves significant infrastructure expenditure on peirs, ground handling equipment, security and additional staff, boosting retail spend per passenger can result in increased revenue with marginal increases in cost, if any. CA+ assists airports in identifying the opportunities for improvement by allowing measurement of retail sales and subsequent analysis.

Concessionaire Analyzer+ is in discussions currently with a number of airports about implementing pilot projects to allow the airports to assess the effect of implementation of this solution.
