Participation at PTW greatly exceeds objectives

20th April 2012
Shireburn Software exhibited its Concessionaire Analyzer+ (CA+) solution for airports and retail malls at the Passenger Terminal Expo 2012 in Vienna this week and the event has greatly surpassed the expectations of the company and is being seen as a reflection of the tremendous interest that this innovative software solution presents to airports.

Concessionaire Analyzer+ allows transactional level sales data from concessionaires to be centrally collected, together with passenger numbers and flights data, and to be subjected to deep business intelligence as a means of allowing airports to understand and influence the retail sales patterns in their terminals with a view to boosting performance and contributions. As retail revenues continue to provide increasing proportions of airports' revenues, frequently around the 50% level and sometimes greater, airports are turning their attention to this crucial part of their revenue streams. Growth in airport retail sales and revenues are outstripping growth in passenger numbers and greater performance is obtained out of retail activities.

The Concessionaire Analyzer+ stand at the Passenger Terminal World in Vienna, held between the 18th and 20th April 2012, enjoyed a steady stream of airport operators, consultants and collaborators from other technology vendors all seeking how CA+ could add value to their processes. While Shireburn Software, the authors of Concessionaire Analyzer+, have started discussions with a number of prospective airports, interesting discussions were also held with a number of airport consulting companies seeking to bring the CA+ solution to their airport clients. Discussions have also been held with other vendors of diverse systems such as people counting solutions as to how the two could be integrated into the Concessionaire Analyzer+ environment.

"Our target objectives for this event were to raise awareness about our solution among the airports industry players, including the consultants in this eco-system, and these have been well and truly met," said John de Giorgio, CEO of Shireburn Software. "It was interesting to note that the analysis of retail activities by airports is found consistently to be a challenge with uniform set of issues faced by all airports worldwide. It was also gratifying to note that the barrier to implementing such analysis solutions is not the willingness of the airports to do so, but the lack of available, affordable solutions. CA+ fits this space beautifully"

Following Concessionaire Analyzer's participation at the Passenger Terminal World this week, CA+ will be exhibiting at the ACI Traders Conference in Oslo, next week.
