Shireburn Software at the ACI Event

28th April 2010
Shireburn Software demonstrated their Concessionaire Analyser+ (CA+) and Airport POS (A-POS) solution at the "Airport Trading Conference and Exhibition" organised by Airports Council International (ACI) that was held between the 26 and 28th April 2010 in Malta.

Shireburn's solutions allow airport terminals to gather retail sales data from concessionaires enabling the terminal to obtain valuable business intelligence on sales patterns in the terminal. Terminals are thus better armed to negotiate with carriers and retail concessionaires as well as to optimise the retail sales mix in their terminal. >> More information about Shireburn's Concessionaires Analyzer+ and Airport POS. The optional implementation of Shireburn's Airport POS provides integration with a terminal's Flight Information System (FIDS) as well as supporting payment by delayed passengers using airline vouchers.

"Shireburn's CA+ is the first commercially available end-to-end solution for airport terminals allowing management of their concessionaires' sales data, including optionally the Airport Point of Sale, with defined standards based interfaces to concessionaire's back-ends and robust reporting. While a number of airports have developed some aspects internally as well as relying on manual reporting, Shireburn brings a complete and commercially supported solution for the terminal operator that brings significant added value" said John de Giorgio, Managing Director of Shireburn Software Ltd.

ACI's commercial conference proved to be an excellent way for Shireburn to reach out to some major airports who are seeking assistance in managing their retail operations which are increasingly forming a greater percentage of their revenue.

Malta International Airport, one of the users of the Shireburn's Concessionaire Analyzer+ solution as well as the Airport POS, increased retail revenues in Q1 2010 by 16% and has seen strong return on investment since the implementation of the Shireburn solution. >> see MIA Case Study on retail operations.
