SOS MISRATA: Over 3,000 euros raised The fund-raising dinner held last Thursday raised over 3,000 in aid of sending medical supplies to Misrata. The event was a collaboration between GetUpStandUp!, KSU (University Student Council) and the Libyan Solidarity Movement. The money raised has been passed on to I-GoAid and will be sent to Misrata on the next ship. We'd like to thank everyone who attended and/or contributed to the success of this event. A mixture of Maltese and African acts will play together on stage at the centre itself! Marsa Open Centre Games Day Get Up Stand Up was involved in its first bit of actual voluntary work as we helped the Marsa Open Centre organize a Games Day. A group of volunteers brought together through the site met up and created a welcome banner and some decorative African flags to help bring some colour and fun to the Centre.
